Pháp Bảo - Dharma Treasures

Pháp Bảo, or Dharma Treasures, are objects that support Buddhist practice. They are not merely decorative items; they serve as reminders of the teachings, aids in meditation, and focal points for cultivating positive qualities. This page introduces some common Dharma Treasures.

Singing Bowl

Singing Bowl (Chuông Xoay)

Used in meditation and chanting, the pure, resonant sound of a singing bowl helps to calm the mind, reduce stress, and create a peaceful atmosphere. The vibration can be a focal point for mindfulness of sound, bringing one's awareness to the present moment.

Mala Beads

Mala Beads (Tràng Hạt)

A string of 108 beads used to count mantras or breaths during meditation. Using a mala helps to keep the mind focused and engaged in the practice. Each bead represents a repetition, allowing the practitioner to remain present without being distracted by counting.

Prayer Wheel

Prayer Wheel (Kinh Luân)

A cylindrical wheel containing scrolls of mantras, typically Om Mani Padme Hum. Spinning the prayer wheel is believed to have the same meritorious effect as orally reciting the prayers. It is a physical way to engage with the Dharma and spread blessings of compassion.
