“Svāgataṁ na durāgataṁ,

It was welcome, not unwelcome,

1.2

Nayidaṁ dumantitaṁ mama;

the advice I got was good.

Saṁvibhattesu dhammesu,

Of the well-explained teachings,

Yaṁ seṭṭhaṁ tadupāgamin”ti.

I arrived at the best.

Itthaṁ sudaṁ āyasmā pilindavaccho thero gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.

That is how this verse was recited by the senior venerable Pilindavaccha.
