“Yo pahaṭṭhena cittena,

He whose heart is well-forged,

pahaṭṭhamanaso naro;

a man of cheerful mind,

Bhāveti kusalaṁ dhammaṁ,

develops skillful qualities

yogakkhemassa pattiyā;

for the sake of sanctuary from the yoke.

1.5

Pāpuṇe anupubbena,

Gradually he would attain

1.6

sabbasaṁyojanakkhayan”ti.

the ending of all fetters.
