“Aṭṭhakkhuraṁ kharādiye,

“Please accept the eight-hooved ass,

migaṁ vaṅkātivaṅkinaṁ;

the deer more wily than the wily.”

Sattahi kālātikkantaṁ,

“He has skipped the appointment seven times—

na naṁ ovaditussahe”ti.

I’ll make no attempt to instruct him.”
